Our Shared Heritage
Wamuran's Wartime History
Preserving the letters, photographs, and memories of the local service members who shaped our vibrant community since 1918.

A Century of Remembrance
From the first volunteers who left the village in 1914 to the dedication of our local cenotaph.
Wamuran's legacy of service remains deeply woven into our community.
1914 — The First Departures
Local timber cutters and farmers answered the call, departing the railway station for overseas service, leaving an indelible mark on our small pioneering settlement.
2002 — The Memorial Dedication
With deep solemnity, the wider community gathered to unveil the stone memorial, establishing a permanent sanctuary of remembrance in the heart of our community.
