Join us at the Wamuran Memorial, where we honour all those who served to make our great southern land one of freedom, hope, and peace.

The Dawn Service begins promptly at the cenotaph. We recommend arriving by 5:15 AM to secure standing space along the reserve.
The official service commences, followed by the traditional minute of silence at 11:00 AM to honor the armistice.
11:30 AM
A light breakfast is provided by Wamuran Rural Fire Brigade following the close of the service.
A light lunch provided by Wamuran Men's Shed following the close of the service.

We ensure our services remain safe, accessible, and comfortable for veterans, elderly residents, and local families travelling into the ceremony

Dedicated seating rows are positioned directly in front of the memorial for veterans, widows, speakers and less mobile community members.

Qualified medical volunteers stand by at every service. Water stations and shaded rest tents are fully operational throughout each service.

To preserve the solemnity of these occasions, we offer easy guidance for families and first-time attendees participating in our services.
Wreath / Tribute Laying Protocol
Photography & Media
Members of the public are warmly invited to lay personal floral tributes or wreaths. Please register your name with the MC before the service begins to be called in turn.
We request that all mobile devices be silenced. Respectful photography is permitted at all time EXCEPT during the minutes silence when, as a mark of our respect, that all unnecessary moment cease.
Please avoid entering the inner memorial area.
What to Wear
Weather Contingencies
While there is no strict dress code, neat casual attire is appreciated. We encourage veterans and descendants to wear service medals.
Our services proceed in light rain. In the event of severe storms, the commemoration will relocate to the adjacent Wamuran Community Hall.
